Good price on 7.62x39 ammo?

A local guy has some Wolf Military Classic 7.62x39 for $325/1000. Is that a decent price? I guess my pricing is still set back a year so I'm not sure myself :).

Most places online that have it in stock seem to be around 315 or so....when you add shipping it might be an okay deal. I saw 325 at the last gun show in PA I went to.

Decent? None of the current prices are decent...but $325/1000 is about the going rate. Wolf Military Classic is some of the better stuff available. I prefer the hollowpoint when I can find it.

EDIT: That AIM Surplus price ($269/1000) is pretty good. It will cost around $300 delivered to your door.

Found Wolf military classic for $299 per 1000 today at a gun show in Hamilton Montana. They had plenty of it.

Also saw Saiga 308 for $549 new.

This was very unlike Texas gun shows.

How so Hoarder?

P.S.

Consdering that steel cased Wolf has only increased in price by about 150% over the last 4 years, $300 FRNs is not too bad for a case of 7.62x39.

I recently saw a case of Port mil-surp 7.62x51 for $995 FRNs(before CA .0925 sales tax).

I got the same case 5 years ago for $200 shipped. That's a 500% increase!

In Texas 762x39 can't be found under 34 cents a round at gun shows if at all, unless I've been looking in the wrong places.

Have you checked academy sports stores yet?

They had Barnauls for $5.99 per box last time I visited. After tax that's pretty close to 33 cents a round, if they still have it in stock.

I was thinking about some of this:

Brass cased, berdan primed. Looks to be Egyptian surplus.

339 bucks. Bout the lowest you're gonna find.
